Diabetic Foot Care

People with diabetes may get complications that affect their feet.

They are particularly vulnerable to reduced or total loss of sensation in either foot. They may not be able to detect heat, cold, pain, touch or vibration sensations. Their feet may also be subject to pressure or injury either from footwear or other external factors.

We offer diabetic foot checks at the clinic. The podiatrist will test for circulatory and sensory status by feeling for pulses in the feet and assessing the nerve sensation. These tests will identify any diabetic foot complications. Diabetic Foot care advice will be provided.
